News: Summer Camp of the Action of the Penance's Sign

From 27th of July to 10th of August,2003, the International Summer Camp
of the Penance's Sign - Service for Peace from Berlin took place in the Stutthof Museum.
17 participants from Poland and Germany worked on fencing the area of former Jewish Camp KL Stutthof, that was assigned for the Museum in Sztutowo at the end of 2002. For 10 days participants worked mainly on digging in and painting 130 wooden stakes needed for fencing
almost 400 meters long part of the former Jewish Camp
On weekends participants visited the Museum, Gdansk and Malbork, and spent some time on the Baltic beach...
Purchase of materials and conservation of wooden elements was possible because of the funds collected in Germany thanks to
activity of Mr Fritz Mille
The International Summer Camp was financed from the funds of Polish-German Cooperation of Youth.
Technical assistance was provided by employees of Stutthof Museum and volunteers of Action of the Penance's Sign from Germany and organisation "Niemalls Vergessen" from Austria
